Mr. Richard Robinson, son of the late Paraoh and Mary Robinson, was born July 29, 1950, in Summerton, South Carolina. He briefly attended the public schools of Clarendon County and later enter the workforce in order to help support the family.
Richard departed this life on Saturday, 23 January 2021 at the USA Health University Hospital in Mobile, Alabama.
With years of experience, Richard perfected his craft as a carpenter which later led to modern construction. In this field, he assisted in the construction of buildings in Atlanta, Georgia, Tallahassee, Florida, Tampa, Florida, and Chattanooga, Tennessee. Just to name a few locations.
In 1969, Richard was married to the late Betty Ann Wilder of Summerton, South Carolina. To this union, three sons were born. Bernard (Erin) Robinson of Greensboro, North Carolina, Adrion Robinson of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and Richard (Angela) Robinson of Columbia, South Carolina. In 1989, Richard and Betty were divorced, and he permanently relocated to Atlanta, Georgia.
Richard then met and married the lovely Mrs. Yulanda Chaney Robinson in Atlanta, Georgia and later relocated to Mount Vernon, Alabama. This union was blessed with four children. Jeff (Belinda) Marks of Mobile, Alabama, Tina Marks of Lithonia, Georgia, Brent (Candidia) Marks of Satsuma, Alabama, and Ermise Marks of Citronelle, Alabama.
Other than Mrs. Robinson and the children stated above, Richard leaves to cherish his memories; His loving sisters; Annie Mable Russell of Summerton, South Carolina and Celeste (aka Stella) Nelson of Brooklyn, New York; a host of grandchildren, four great- grandchildren, nieces, nephews, a host of family and friends.
