Evangelist Dorothy Mae Williams Tindal was born on Wednesday, July 18, 1945, to the late Jeff Williams and Annie Watson Williams in Summerton, South
Carolina.
She attended the public schools of Clarendon County.
At an early age she became a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church where she was licensed and ordained in the Gospel Ministry
under the leadership of the late Reverend O’ Donald Dingle. In addition to being an active member of the church, she was also a member of the Eastern Stars.
She was joined in Holy matrimony to the late Charles Tindal and they were blessed with 45 years together. This union was blessed with six children.
Evangelist Tindal was a caretaker for many family members throughout her life. For many years she worked at the Summerton Dinner and later became a homemaker. Dorothy enjoyed cooking for her family,
shopping, enjoying outings and caring for children, grands and great grands. But most of all telling the world about Jesus and serving him faithfully.
Early Monday Morning, February 28, 2022, Evangelist Dorothy Tindal entered into enteral rest at her residence in Summerton, SC. In addition to her husband and parents, she is proceeded in death by her brother, Thomas Williams.
She leaves to cherish her memories, three sons, Hercules (Sallie) Williams of Manning, SC, David (Karen) Tindal of Sumter, SC and Michael (Latonya) Tindal of Summerton, SC; three daughters, Cassie (Michael) Brailsford of Summerton, SC, Judy (Kevin) Wells of the home and Shirley (Daren) Ragin of Manning, SC; Three brothers, Junior ( Letha) McConico, Leon (Lillie) Williams and John Williams; a sister, Betty (Ralph) Space; two brothers-in-law, eight sisters-in-law, twenty grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, a special neighbor, Brenda Oliver and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
