Elder Susie Mae Johnson Brunson, daughter of the late Zachary Johnson and Anna Liza Johnson was born on Sunday, December 26, 1926, in Clarendon County.
Susie Mae gave her life to God at an early age and joined New Bethel Holiness Church. She was a member for over 55 years.
Susie Mae was known for being encouraging, loving and speaking life into everyone she came in contact with. She loved telling everyone about her savior. She enjoyed working in her garden, making quilts, caring for her grands, and serving the Lord.
Susie Mae was joined in Holy Matrimony to the late Wallace Brunson, Jr. This union was blessed with Six children of whom two preceded her in death.
On Monday, July 12, 2021, Elder Susie Mae Johnson entered eternal rest at Lake Marion Nursing Home in Summerton, SC. In addition to her parents and two children, Noah, and Jimmie Lee Brunson, she is preceded in death by eleven siblings; a son-in-law, William Williams; a grandson, Mark, and a great grandson, Raymane “Camari”.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories are four children, Frankie Williams, and Willie Martha (Joseph) Ragboo, both of Laurel, MD, Daisy (Levan) Dingle of Summerton, SC and Mary (David) McElveen of Scranton, SC; eighteen grandchildren, Eddie Jr., Sharon, Stanley, Areatha, Levan, Jr. (Tashia), Latasha, Shaneka (Donell), Latroy (Melisa), Terrance, Raymane (Angela), Leslie (Brandon), Draymane (Jessica), Lavar (Kemia) Jennifer, Walter (Brevalencia), Chance, Ibrahim (Fatuma), Layla (Jamare); thirty-five great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren; a God daughter, Dorothy Huggins, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and loving caregivers at Lake Marion Rehab.
