Anthony Tyrone Henderson, 56, entered eternal rest on Saturday, February 17, 2024. Born on August 5, 1967 in Brooklyn, New York he was the son of William Norman Henderson and Belphine Brailsford. Both parents preceded him in death.
Anthony, affectionately known as “Ant”, was educated in the Kings County (Brooklyn, New York) and Clarendon County (Summerton, SC) public school systems. He was employed with P & R Plumbing in Starrett City (Brooklyn, New York) before relocating to South Carolina. His hobbies included playing basketball in his younger years, in which he earned the name “Too Sweet” because he was so “sweet” while handling the ball. He also enjoyed illustrating and deejaying and called himself DJ “Ant Live”.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories: two sons, Anthony Henderson II (Brooklyn, New York) and Nasir Arana of the home along with three children he reared as his own, Keonte Arana, Kenaya Arana, and Andre Murray (Bronx, New York). Also cherishing those memories are five siblings, Maureen Henderson (Brooklyn, NY), Bobby Brailsford, Darlene Johnson (Jerry), Beverlyn Brailsford, and Vanessa Sanchez (Bobby), all of South Carolina. Additional loved ones include a special friend Nita Dawkins (Brooklyn, NY), five aunts Mazie James, Catherine Blanding, Sarah Barber, and Carrie Brailsford of South Carolina, and Grace Ward from Brooklyn, New York, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
