Martha Ann Green was born on Monday, July 29, 1957 in Clarendon County to the late Richard and Inez Gaymon Green.

Martha converted her life at an early age and attended Mt. Pleasant Union Methodist Episcopal Church and was educated in the public schools of Sumter County.

On Monday, March 30, 2020, Martha entered into enteral rest at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, High Point, North Carolina. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Green, Sr. and her son, Leland Green.

She leaves to Cherish her memories, her sons, Leonard Green, Joseph Green and Jamie Green, all of Thomasville, NC; four sisters, Loretta Green and Cynthia Bosier of Summerton, SC, Tomeka (Gus) Thames of Manning, SC and Sarah (Michael) James of Thomasville, NC; four brothers, Michael Green of Thomasville, NC, Wilbert (Theresa) Green of Manning, SC, Stacey (Sheryl) Green of High Point, NC and Isham (Helen) Canty of Pinewood, SC; eight grandchildren, seven aunts, five uncles, a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.​
