General "Lay" Ragin Jr., 77, husband of Mable Ragin-Smith, died on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at Mcleod Reginal Medical Center of the Pee Dee, Florence, South Carolina.

He was born on Sunday, September 10, 1944, in Clarendon County.

The family will receive friends at the home, 4 Mazyck Street, Summerton, SC 29148, starting on Monday, July 25, 2022, between the hours of 4pm-7pm.

Public viewing will be held on Friday, July 29, 2022 from 4pm-7pm at King-Fields Mortuary, Summerton, South Carolina.

Graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2022, 11am at Historic Taw Caw Missionary Baptist Church, Summerton,  South Carolina.

Mask are required to be worn while visiting the family and during the graveside service.
