Freeze Wright was born on Tuesday, November 25, 1941 in Sumter County to the late Henry Wright and Maggie Busby Wright.

He attended the public schools of Clarendon County, where he graduated from Walker Gamble High School. After graduating he began his career in Construction and later moving onto landscaping until retiring.

Freeze was a family man that loved all his family and everyone he met. He was a man of God that never complained.

On Wednesday, February 6, 2019, Freeze entered into eternal rest at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital, Sumter, SC.

Those left to cherish his memories, his wife, Emily Wright of the home; his children, Pamela (James) Green and Arether Jeter, both of Charlotte, NC, Ernestine Wright, Brenda (Levan) Wilson, Chris Benjamin, Sinder Faye Singleton, Andy Wright, Ricky (Ella) Wright and Otis Wright all of Sumter, SC, Angelia Wheeler, Jonathan Wheeler of Turbeville, SC; twenty-seven grandchildren, fifty-two great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
