Christine Jones Green, widow of Richard Green Sr., peacefully left this world cradled in the arms of angels on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at McLeod Regional Health Center, Florence, SC. She was 69 years old.

Christine was born on May 8, 1955, in Pinewood, SC to the late Burnice Jones and Richard Thomas. She lived a life marked by compassion, dedication, and love for those around her. From an early age, she demonstrated a caring nature that would become the hallmark of her life, both personally and professionally.

Christine dedicated over 31 years of her career to the Lake Marion Nursing Home, where she worked as a caregiver. Her colleagues and the residents she served saw her as more than just a healthcare provider—she was a trusted friend, a source of comfort, and a beacon of kindness. Her warm heart and gentle spirit touched countless lives, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her.

Outside of work, Christine's greatest joy was found in her family. She was the cornerstone of family gatherings, always organizing cookouts and encouraging everyone to come together. These moments of laughter, storytelling, and shared meals were what Christine cherished most. To her, family was everything. Her home was always open and filled with warmth and love.

Christine's role as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She nurtured her children with wisdom and unwavering support. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of her family, as she was a constant source of strength and encouragement.

Christine was preceded in death by Willie Moses Jones, Ervin Jones, Louvina Noble, and Frosty Pearson.

She leaves to cherish her memories; her loving children Tyrone Jones, Loretta Green, Micheal Green, and Keshauna Green; Isham Canty, Tomeka Benjamin, Wilbert Green, Stacey Green, and Sarah Lee Green; a brother, Harmon (Pamela) Jones; two sisters, Sarah (Willie) Singleton, and Ella Mae Johnson; six grandchildren Daquante Kind, Davonte Kind, Kendra Thomas, Breonca Brunson, Morris Green, and Dakota Green; four great-grandchildren, Kewon Mack, Jaseon Taylor, Jamyla Thomas, Khalil Kind and a host of extended family members and dear friends.

Christine Jones Green lived a life filled with love, compassion, and service. Her legacy of togetherness and kindness will forever be remembered by all who knew her, and her light will continue to shine through the lives of her family.
